Hour Glass

by Shawna
(Ottawa, KS)

I am a single mom with a toddler and a preschooler - who has special needs, I also work an average of 10 hours a day five days a week. Finally, I am also an online college student as well. My time is like an hour glass no matter how hard I try time is constantly slipping away; most of the time, I over plan my days with items that need to be done. It would be so much easier to lay the hour glass on its side, so that I can stop time for a while to get everything accomplished - but that is impossible. Therefore I take it a day at a time and tackle the more difficult items first because to me it is cheating to start with the easy mundane things that everyone has to do. I also have my children assist me with these items because they need to learn how to manage their time when they get older, and they also need to know that the mundane things they can do too.
