How to Plan Your Day by Preplanning Your Day

To plan your day, you need to preplan your day. That sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it?. But, it is not. It is simply taking a few minutes to get organized which in return, can benefit you tremendously.

Here are 7 tips to help you get started to organize your day.

1. Don’t Get Overwhelmed
Do not be overwhelmed by what you are going to do, regardless of how long the list for tomorrow’s plan will be. The important thing is to have a plan on how to tackle it.

2.Do It The Night Before
Plan your day by doing it the night before. I like using Sunday nights to preplan my Mondays and if I have my schedules filled for the week, I will do it for other days as well. Sunday nights are especially good as Monday will see a flurry of action after the weekend, and once you have your plans written down for the next day, it is simply a matter of attending to it. You need not hassle with a to-do list anymore on Monday morning.

3.Start Early
I know it is tough to wake up early. Lately you hear a lot of this suggestion in my articles. It’s because I have been able to do it and it’s been really productive for me. Interestingly, I do not feel sleepy in the afternoons even when I wake up 2 hours earlier. I attribute it to the motivation I get for being able to accomplish more for my own business. Start an hour or two earlier each day and see how it contributes to a productive and may I even add, happy day. It allows you to plan your day mentally if you do not do it the night before.

4.Sleep Early
How do you wake up early? Sleep early. Simple answer but tough to do. As it requires you to make some sacrifices. Like giving up on TV or the internet or some form of entertainment. Get to bed early makes a good strategy to plan your day ahead. Ever heard of a good tomorrow starts tonight?

4.Write Down The One Thing That Has Been Bugging You
You want to plan your day well? Make it a productive day? A best day at work? Write down the one thing that has been bugging you for weeks. And get that done. Even if you have no solutions at hand, write it down. Keep writing it for weeks and see how the solution appears and how you will DO it. But the trick is to keep writing till you do it. There is no way you can write something for so many weeks and not do anything about it. Even it is such a simple step.

5.Focus On How Happy You Will Be
If this sounds like a lot of things to do just to plan your day and is stressing you out – focus on how happy you will be when your day is planned. If you do some of these and start implementing them for a few weeks, you will see some positive changes in your productivity, reduced stress, and an increased sense of happiness. When you feel planning is just too much hard work and discipline to get something done, focus on how happy you will be when you have planned your day.

As I tried some of these tips above, I realize as you complete what you want to do, you will feel you have accomplished something and will instantly feel less stressed. Planning your day is very important and when you preplan you get a lot more done.
